Frequently Asked Questions
Who are we?
AZ Aspire Academy is a private day school serving students with neurodiversity such as autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, emotional disabilities, and other needs. Each part of our students’ day is unique for each student, from their time of day to the curriculum that is utilized.
What do we do?
AZ Aspire provides 1:1 instruction in Language Arts/English and Math with small group (> 1:10 ) instruction in Science, Social Studies, a STEAM elective, and Strategies for Success. Our STEAM class offers a multifaceted elective that integrates science, technology, engineering, art, and movement. Taught by a certified special education teacher, our Strategies for Success class supports students in developing social skills, executive functioning, and transition skills (for our high school students).
What curricula do we use?
While we individualize, accommodate, and make modifications based on a student’s needs, we also use several programs to meet a variety of students' academic needs and abilities.

How do you know where they are academically?
Upon enrollment and each quarter, we assess our students via standardized tests to gain an idea of where our students are academically. We understand that this is only one data point, and our students may struggle with taking assessments; therefore, these assessments do not hold any bearing on grades.

Do we provide related services?
Yes! We are able to provide speech, OT, and counseling to our students; both district AND ESA. For our district-placed students, we will follow the Individualized Education Plan sent to us by the public placing school district. For our ESA students, we are able to coordinate with our providers to provide services that can be funded through additional ESA funds, insurance, or DDD services. We currently contract speech and OT through Ridge-Zeller Therapy. We have a full-time counselor who provides services to each AZ Aspire campus.
